First 2022 Clinical Trial Visit

Although sitting in an airport, riding on 2 planes in 1 day, all to hang out in a hospital all day, isn’t my ideal Friday, I am thankful for today. I am thankful for this opportunity. I am humbled by the fundraising efforts that make clinical trials possible. I am proud to be part of the efforts to find a cure for Friedreichs Ataxia not only for myself, but for my community. I’m scared to see my symptom progression quantified during my physical exam. I can’t believe that this (flying across the country to get drugs in the hopes of prolonging my diminishing abilities) is my life. I am blown away by God’s goodness that He placed Kyle in my life. My anchor. My sounding board. My best friend. I’m eager to just get this trip over with and get home to my sweet babies .

In other words, I’m bringing all the feels with me to Emory in Atlanta today. Please join me in praying for a cure for FA so that me and the rest of the FA community can stop spending our time doing this. #CureFA #friedreichsataxia #KendallRTA408
